Overview of Building Blocks of Quranic Recitation Program

The Building Blocks of Quranic Recitation for Adults is designed to equip learners (women) aged 15 and above with the foundational and advanced skills required to recite the Quran accurately and beautifully. This program progresses from foundational skills, such as mastering the Arabic alphabet, to some advanced Tajweed rules, ensuring that learners acquire both accuracy and confidence in recitation.Students also gain the opportunity to develop their skills through group discussions, interactive exercises, and Quranic practice.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone looking to refine your Quranic recitation skills, this program provides a comprehensive learning journey. It emphasizes the practical application of Tajweed rules, ensuring that learners not only understand the theory but also develop confidence in their recitation.

The program is divided into three levels: Tajweed Beginners Course, Tajweed Course Level 1 and Tajweed Course Level 2. 

Each course builds upon the previous one, ensuring progressive learning with clear objectives, structured lessons, and practical applications

We may have some scholarships (50% or 100%) available for students who can’t truly afford it in shaa Allah. You can apply for the scholarship when applying for the course. Sponsorship is not available for the 1-1 class.

Kindly note that subsequent payments after the initial payment is due at 1st of every month.

You can only make the next payment when your attendance and submission of assessments have been reviewed. 

This is done after every 4 weeks. All students must have at least 70% attendance on the live classes and assessments before you can proceed (Note that this has been automated, so the system automatically cancels your admission if you do not meet up). However, you can always re-register in another cohort or academic year.

Course Description

This course serves as an introduction to Quranic recitation for absolute beginners. It focuses on familiarizing students with the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation rules, and basic phonetics. Learners will develop the ability to read Arabic letters, recognize vowels, and apply foundational pronunciation techniques required for correct Quranic recitation.

01 Course Description

Course Description

Tajweed Level 1 introduces young learners to the basics of Tajweed and the etiquettes of Qur’anic recitation. Children learn what Tajweed is, why it’s important, and how to recite the Qur’an respectfully. The course explores common pronunciation mistakes (Al-Lahn) and the different levels of recitation, along with the rulings of Sujud at-Tilaawah (prostration of recitation).

Students also begin learning practical Tajweed rules such as Al-Qalqalah (the echoing sound), proper pronunciation of the letter Roo, and the two types of Hamzah—Hamzatul Wasl (connecting) and Hamzatul Qat’ (separating). Regular practice and revision ensure children apply what they learn while building confidence in their recitation.

  • Learners who have completed TBC or have intermediate-level Quranic recitation skills and want to perfect their Tajweed

01 Course Description

Course Description

In this level, students build upon their foundational skills by learning the rules related to Noon Saakinah and Tanween—including Izhaar, Idghaam, Iqlaab, and Ikhfaa. These rules are essential in helping children pronounce Qur’anic words correctly and naturally.

The course also introduces the rules of Meem Saakinah, such as Ikhfaa Ash-Shafawy, Idghaam As-Sagheer, and Izhaar Ash-Shafawy, along with an introduction to the Ranks of Gunnah (nasal sounds). Through engaging examples and guided recitation, students begin to refine their pronunciation and improve fluency in Qur’an reading.
